The result of tartar:

Tartar itself is not dangerous, but the surface is very rough so that the bacteria in the oral cavity can be easily attached to the surface. This rough surface into a colony of bacteria that cause a variety of problems, such as gum inflammation (gingivitis), inflammation of the tissues supporting the teeth (periodontitis), tooth decay (caries / tooth holes) and bad breath (halitosis).
